The dark knots on the wood that inspired Basque Oak were artfully muted with a milky wash during our design process, helping to create a clean, neutral look. The design was inspired by wood from a centuries-old holm oak in Spain – a type of tree not commonly used as a source of timber, but rather for acorn harvests to feed livestock. Basque Oak is also available in a rigid core format, featuring a 5G® locking mechanism, for faster installation: AKP-SM-RL26
