1. Karndean Art Select Royal Oak RL01

We have kept this floor quite simple using just a single black feature strip around the perimeter but to create some 'interest' we laid the floor at a 45 degree angle. We fitted the steps with matching Karndean and finished them with an aluminium slimline edging strip. We spent a long time trying to match the colour of the flooring to the dog :-)

2. Custom Made carpet

This customer loved the carpet we fitted on her stairs and landing over thirty years ago. Unfortunately after three decades it needed changing and the original manufacturer had long since ceased trading. We photographed the original and designed a new carpet of equal quality based on the original design. From initial meeting to final production took just 10 weeks. Photos show the new carpet.

3. Amtico 'Spacia' design floor

We first fitted 6mm exterior plywood to the chipboard floor. The joints were feathered and finished with skim coat to provide a perfectly smooth and flat finish.
The main tile is Amtico 'Spacia' in Sandstone with each tile fitted at right angles to accentuate the pattern and highlight the micro bevel. The tiles have been laid diamond pattern to breakup the square laid wall tiles.
We have finished the perimeter with a 'tramline' border using Amtico Wenge wood cross cut stripping. Note the stripping perfectly follows the contours of the room.

4. Nourison Bordered & Plain

This installation combines a mixture of contemporary borders and complementing plains. Instead of traditionally fitting the landings, we used a matching rope binding to bridge the gap between pattern and plain.

4a. Karndean design flooring

In the first image you can see that we have latex screeded the customers floor and then rubbed it down to a perfect finish. We start by laying the perimeter and mitering the internal / external angles. The main floor is then covered in a specialist adhesive and we can start fitting the planks. Notice how we have followed the contour of the step with the accent strip.

5. Amtico in Showhome

Showhome for David Payne Homes Limited. The hall and cloak room has been fitted with Amtico 'Essentials' Savannah Stone. The perimeter is finished with a tramline border using 4mm Wenge Wood stripping.
Notice that the cut tiles are 'mirrored' on either side of the hall and that the plain outfill retains a uniform width.

6. Manor by the Lake

Arle Court Manor House is set in a large estate on the outskirts of Cheltenham, surrounded by beautiful formal gardens and woodlands.
Hammond Hill refurbished the public areas using Brintons 'Regina' axminster carpet.
The work was undertaken during the night and on Sundays so as not to impact on the day to day running of the house.
Specialist underlays, gripper and adhesives were used to comply with the buildings listed status.
Hammond Hill undertake all types of floorings for commercial, corporate and industrial installations.

7. Amtico Design Flooring

We fitted this Amtico into a guest cloakroom and very small en-suite. Each area was no larger than 1 metre by 1 metre. Carefull consideration needed to be given to the layout to ensure that it wasn't over complicated whilst still maintaining that 'design floor effect'. If you look carefully you will see that the border is made up of three individual design strips.

8. Brintons 'Custom' carpet

This carpet was designed by Hammond Hill exclusively for our customer. Manufactured by Brintons, we incorporated a number of design features in the installation such as double borders and inset squares. The carpet was manufactured in 69cm, 91cm and 180cm widths and silver seamed prior to fitting. We offer a full bespoke design service for carpets and rugs.

9. Amtico Spacia Design Flooring

When fitting Amitico or Spacia, pre-planning is key. In this job note how the centre of the flooring lines up perfectly with the centre of the kitchen units. Also observe how the part tile on the left mirrors the part tile on the right. We see so many installations where the flooring has been simply 'thrown down' without any forethought. Before our fitters even pick up their cutters the whole floor is mapped out to ensure perfect symmetry.

9b. Brintons Marquis Inset Borders

The first three images shown the inset border laid out and adhered to the underlay. We then infill and outfill the border with the main carpet as shown in the final image.

9c. Karndean 'Travertine' Flooring

Instead of simply fitting the tiles straight up to the skirting board, floors can be 'picture framed'. This doesn't cost any more to do or any longer to fit but can really set the floor apart from standard installations. Hammond Hill supply and fit Karndean, Amtico, Spacia, Solid and Engineered wood flooring.

9d. Springfield Lodge

Springfield Lodge was refurbished in 2006 to provide 5 luxury homes.
In addition to the communal areas we supplied high quality wool carpets to each of the apartments.
The communal stairs had contrasting pvc nosings fitted to comply with new building regulations.
We fitted the kitchen areas with Karndean design flooring.

9e. Amtico Priory Oak

We fitted this Amtico floor to the Hall, Dining Room and Guest Cloak Room of a period house in Bedfordshire. None on the walls were square and we were faced with some very unusual angles but by 'cutting in' the single plank border we were able to square things up. Seen here with a 'tram-line' border. We supply and fit Amtico flooring all over the UK (subject to minimum quantities).
